a correction and a question…

First of all… a correction on the Ducks games this weekend (and yes, these do count for games played in the regular season). Thanks to SeanYoda for pointing out the error… for some reason I had info that this was being broadcast on NBC this weekend. Sadly, NBC will be showing golf all damn weekend. Thank you NBC… thank you NHL… I am sure the televising agreement that you came up with for the next few years was so fuckin’ ingenious that I can’t even find the damn games on NBC anymore.
Disney, please save our wretched sport from becoming something below professional wrestling and lacrosse. Please allow ESPN and ABC to broadcast the games once more… get back into the fray… challenge NBC and Versus (really, how many of you readers have Versus… or even knew that Versus existed?) to broadcast more games or allow you to get back into the game. And Betteman… fuck you for screwing the hockey fans with that broadcasting deal… I think the league is paying NBC to broadcast the games and not the other way around. Thanks for nothing… jackass…

So the correct broadcast schedule is:
29 September @ 9am PT on FSN West
30 September @ 9am PT on Versus

And I know in talking with Cam, the games are being broadcast in Germany at least… so if you are elsewhere in Europe then try to tune in if it available locally. As for folks not living in Southern California… I don’t know what to say. If you live in Canada, it will be on CBC… and for you HD freak out there… you can apparently catch the game on HDNet.

For me I’ll be tuning in for both games… Milady and I will be making sure the provisions are set ahead of time so that we can at least survive for the weekend between hockey and WoW ^_^

Now for the question that I hinted at… and this is mainly aimed at folks who are reading this via a RSS feed. Some of you have noticed that in the feed that you are only getting the first few lines before having to jump over here to read the rest of the entry. Is this an issue for you? Do you prefer the huge beast of a post on the feed that I have been known to type out instead of the abbreviated entry that forces you to come here instead?
If I change back, just be warned that it will puke all over the place for a day and then get back into the swing of things.

I feel the urge…

to be creative for a bit… maybe write a short story or something of the sort. Maybe I’ll use this area as a platform for such an adventure.

No WoW for me tonight… Milady and I are attending some after-hours DLR event for leads and trainers I guess… “Dancing Under the Stars”… guess it’s a take-off of “Dancing with the Stars”. Dunno… I think it’s in DCA, not totally sure. But if it is, then maybe they’ll have alcohol available? Please?

Speaking of WoW… they recently did this nice big patch to the game known simply as 2.2.0… and while it was in PTR’s (Public Test Realms) for the past month or so what pisses me off are there are authors of the add-ons that many of us use to enhance our gameplay did not update their add-ons to work with the new patch. Getting onto a PTR server isn’t that bloody hard. It’s all of ten seconds at the max to get a character onto the server… and just some minor file update patches before logging into the server for the first time.
But in that time, no one thought to make sure that certain add-ons would work once Patch Day came along? I realize people have lives… but if you make the effort to put out something like, hmmm, Mazzle for instance, then you you should be partaking in the PTR’s to make sure things will run smoothly once Patch Day does come along.
In the days since Patch Day (we will never forget… 9/25/07) not a peep has been heard from the creator of Mazzle, but some others have found tweaks that one has to do to some of the coding in order to make things work properly. Change the wording in this line of coding within this file… add these two characters to that line over in that file… run this updater for these specific add-ons… run the updater again for these other specific files… bend over and lick the area between your ballsack and your anus… go molest a baby kitten… slit a vein and squirt the entire lyrics to “Lament of the Highborne” onto a nearby wall, and it must be in the original Highborne Elf language.

and still on WoW… from 2 October to 16 October, in-game is the Brewfest… and one of the possible items to earn is a lederhosen outfit… and the best item of them all, the “Eyesight Enhancing Romance Goggles”. Cannot wait to see what happens when you put those on. I’m sure it would make any Goblin look like Haris Pilton…
So drink on my friends… drink on. I still owe folks screenshots and probably video of my character in the Murloc suit don’t I? I’ll get those up soon… You might really like the video I do… I want to be able to show off all of the aspects of the costume and whatnot.

Did you all miss me?

If so, you should have aimed better… I’m a crafty little bastard… :P

Yes… it is I… one of the most hated people that you know personally. If I don’t know you personally, let’s meet up so I can offend you as quickly as humanly possible and then you can join the rest of these folks who seems to have this odd fascination with still hanging out with me. Still trying to figure them out… I insult folks… I offend them… and yet they keep coming back for more. You masochistic bastards… :P

So what has been going on since my self-imposed silence? Nothing too exciting…
Between 7 September to 14 September, I was in charge of the Frito account for our location… and in the process managed to work 12+ hour days every day I was running the account.

Split my World of Warcraft account into two accounts so that Milady and I can play together now. So we teamed up over the weekend to play our Horde characters and have managed to kick ass and take names while enjoying whatever it was that we were doing at that time. Let’s see… one, two, three, four… four elite mobs taken down in one day. I call that a damn good day for a rogue, a warlock and her (his) Voidwalker. Yes… you saw that right… the warlock is a she… and it is my character. No laughing or else I’ll send my over-sized female Orc warlock to firebomb your ass… she’ll snap your neck with her HUGE Orc thighs…
Oh Theendisa (that’s my Orc’s name)… some day they will understand why you are such a big gal. We can’t all be small and skinny like those damn Blood Elves… fuckin’ anorexic cunts… hope you choke on a dust particle. ^_~

Hockey is coming!!! Scott Niedermayer is still undecided and probably will remain undecided until AFTER the two games next week in London. And my bet is he’ll join the team around mid-October if he does come back. And if he does then Selanne will retire. If Niedermayer retires then good chance Selanne will come back. Both cannot come back and Anaheim still remain under the salary cap without giving up something big in the process.
WrathGlory and I attended a pre-season game last week. Got to see some of the new faces and potential new faces for the coming season. Some looked good… some looked not so good. Got to see a decent fight early into the game with Travis Moen. I saw the thing developing and knew the gloves were going to drop any minute… just wasn’t expecting it to be right then and there.
Did end up losing the game though… San Jose scored in the final five minutes and I saw no way for Anaheim to even tie the game at that point. We’ll have to see once the games actually start to count though. They have a pretty damn big target on their backs this year… and one of the big two hockey magazines have picked Anaheim to repeat this season. The other magazine picked the Pittsburgh Penguins to win this season… good for the Sidney Crosby fans out there… not good for the Ducks fans out here. It would be hilarious to see Anaheim win it again though… just so I can rub it in King’s fans even more.
So Ducks fans… first game is 29 September at 9am PT. Pretty damn sure it will be broadcast on NBC… and hopefully will be aired in it’s entirety. If anyone is interested… be at my place by 9am… and BYOB.

What else is there? Milady and I finally got new cellphones a couple of weeks ago. Old one’s were getting pretty bad. New one’s are nice… and are bluetooth enabled so we can do the hands-free thing. And I can’t believe we did this but we both have cameraphones now. God help us… and the rest of the free world.

And the hours of television programs to be recorded kicked into high gear this week with the start of the Fall line-up on almost every network. Desperate Housewives was a re-cap of the previous seasons… CSI was a new one… House was a new one… Family Guy was fuckin’ hilarious… Reaper was decent, hoping for a stronger showing in coming weeks. And more shows to be added in the coming weeks. *sigh*

What else was there I wanted to discuss? Oh yeah… my teeth. Guess who might be able to start eating a lot more normal foods VERY soon? Today I went in for the bite placement and whatnot. Next week I’m in for initial fittings… and then one more appointment for the final fitting and saying good-bye to the dentist until the point in time that I decide that I want implants put in. *bwahahahahahaha!!!!!*
